HISPANIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation promotes cultural pride and accomplishment by preparing Latino leaders in the classroom, community, and workforce. Their year-round programs include the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards, Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT), the Hispanic Heritage Awards, and various public awareness campaigns. HHF’s award-winning LOFT leadership and workforce development program is divided into 10 “Tracks,” or industries, including Innovation & Technology, Science & Healthcare, Engineering, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Education, Public Service, Law, Media & Entertainment, and Latinas.  Tens of thousands of students and young professionals are connected to each other and to mentors and resources. EL MUSEO DEL BARRIO

The mission of El Museo del Barrio is to present and preserve the art and culture of Puerto Ricans and all Latin Americans in the United States. Through its extensive collections, varied exhibitions and publications, bilingual public programs, educational activities, festivals and special events, El Museo educates its diverse public in the richness of Caribbean and Latin American arts and cultural history. By introducing young people to this cultural heritage, El Museo is creating the next generation of museum-goers, while satisfying the growing interest in Caribbean and Latin American art of a broad national and international audience. LATINOS IN ACTION

Latinos In Action (LIA) offers an asset-based approach to bridging the graduation and opportunity gap for Latino students, working from within the educational system to create positive change. Their program operates as a year-long elective course taught by a highly-qualified teacher at the middle school, junior high, and high school level. They have four pillars: leveraging personal and cultural assets, excelling in education, serving the community, and developing leadership skills. Website

MANO A MANO: MEXICAN CULTURE WITHOUT BORDERS

Mano a Mano is a New York City-based non profit celebrating Mexican culture and promoting the understanding of Mexican traditions. They have an arts, culture and humanities program, annual celebrations of holidays, festivals, concerts, performances, processions, installations and seminars. Website
